After a combined 30 years in broadcast news, Donald and Janice Jones started CycleHere Media to help others engage their audience and strengthen their brand by designing thoughtful, artistic and impactful stories. Their exceptional ability to craft creative story designs has awarded them premier Telly Award honors for both short form documentary and branded content video. The two creatives have also received Emmy nominations for their broadcast work.
Janice, as CycleHere Media’s creative and logistics producer, brings an experienced and empathetic ear to every meeting, interview, video shoot and script. Her insightful listening helps identify and understand clients’ needs as well as the audience’s desires. Janice coaches business leaders on effective presentation skills and engaging a public audience.
Janice is extremely passionate about having a positive impact on her community. She serves on the Executive Board of the Tag! Children’s Museum, is a dedicated board member at church and her son’s school PTO. She is also a member of Compassionate St. Augustine. As an invited speaker of the “She Is Fierce” lecture series, Janice spoke about her career experience and inspiring women to be thoughtful about the role work plays in their life.
She is well-respected for her past on-air work and as Chief Meteorologist at NBC Raleigh, FOX Orlando and Meteorologist/Environmental reporter at NBC Savannah. She started her career as news producer and writer at NBC in Jacksonville, FL over 20 years ago. Through the years, Janice has produced and hosted countless television weather specials and has appeared on MSNBC for her hurricane expertise.
Donald loves the art of crafting a story from behind the lens. He relishes post creation, as well as, being an architect of those images and just the right sound to deliver a unique style.
Donald is excited to be helping promote local live theatre serving on the Limelight Theatre Board of Directors and Marketing Committee. He’s a graduate of St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership St. Johns, a year-long leadership development program. Donald is also a member of Compassionate St. Augustine.
Donald’s award-winning broadcast journalism career of almost two decades took him from CBS Savannah to FOX Orlando and NBC Raleigh. He was honored for his Associated Press award-winning coverage of “Operation Support Hope” in Africa, and appeared on the Today Show and MSNBC. He kickstarted social media use within a local news program while anchoring at NBC Raleigh.
Donald’s exercise passion is cycling. He’s pedaled thousand of miles raising thousands of dollars for charity. He also treasures great memories of cycling the storied Cols of the Pyrenees featured in the Tour de France.
